Garo Dedeian

Founder and Master Jeweler

Garo founded Burbank Jewelry Outlet in 1978 with a casting bench, a set of hand tools, and a commitment to making solid gold jewelry in Burbank rather than importing it. After 48 years at the same address, he still works at the bench. His knowledge of gold alloys, casting ratios, and setting techniques is not something you can learn in a weekend course; it comes from four-plus decades of repetition at the same craft. If you have a complex repair or a custom piece that requires real metallurgical judgment, you are talking to the right person.

Zaven Dedeian

Jeweler and Studio Director

Zaven grew up watching his father work at the casting bench and came into the business as a second-generation jeweler who combined traditional goldsmithing with modern manufacturing technology. He introduced 3D-printed modeling and laser welding to the studio, not to replace the handwork, but to extend what the shop could do without sending anything out. Zaven handles custom design consultations, complex stone setting, and the day-to-day studio operations. If you walk in with an idea for a one-of-a-kind piece, he is the one who turns it into a 3D model you can hold before a gram of gold is committed.

Second generation, joined the studio in the 2000s

Burbank Jewelry Outlet has always been a family operation. Every piece that leaves this studio has been touched by one of these two jewelers. That is not a company value. That is just how the math works when two people make everything by hand.
